Autumn Leaves

The wool in these two skeins is Blue Faced Leicester - very soft with a slight lustre or sheen. After spinning the white tops I dyed the yarn in colours inspired by the Autumn Leaves which were starting to fall around me as I walked. The yarn comes in two skeins (sold together) 61gm - 68m 77 gm - 93m Total: 138 gm 161m $40 + postage The yarn measures 9wpi ~ Which approximately a worsted weight or 10 ply. This yarn has been created lovingly in a pet friendly, smoke free home, please wash carefully by hand using a recommended wool wash and dry flat in the shade. It will felt and shrink if treated roughly.

Not Politically Correct - Natural wool and alpaca with traces of blue mohair

This yarn is lumpy and bumpy and thick - noils, neps and curls all there in their glory. 7 foot shawl is almost finished - just have to straighten up and put on a crochet edge. Straightening the threads wasn't as bad as I thought - mostly I stood and did it while chatting on the phone to a friend!. I've pulled it off and although it might not need the crochet edge I will do it just for the stability and firmness it will give.
